Here’s a song from October Fall’s full-length album A Season In Hell called ‘Tongue Tied.’ The album was released in February 2006 just before the band’s tour with Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights and From First To Last.
Tick tock we dance to the beat The clock spins, you spin into me Feel my hands, I’m not shaking
You're so cute! :3 I really hope to see you in SF and say hi! :) My question to you is, if you can come up with your dream Warped Tour, which bands would you most like to see on it?
Aw thanks! Definitely say hi in San Fran!
Oh… dream Warped lineup…
I’ll go with bands from my senior year of high school— Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, Blink 182, Further Seems Forever, Fall Out Boy, Lostprophets, Yellowcard, Motion City Soundtrack, Rival Schools, The Dog & Everything, Relient K, The All-American Rejects, Paramore, The Format, The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, Watashi Wa, The Plain White T’s (only if they play songs from STOP), Switchfoot, Incubus, Riddlin Kids…
Apparently, theres this freshman couple at my school and the boyfriend gives his girlfriend a letter every morning so she can read it during her first period class. One of my younger friends told me about it and it's so cute it's just unbearable. I saw your tweet earlier today about cute couples being cute in public or whatever and so I thought of you when I found that out.
haha, you should totally punch him. Only kidding. ‘Guess I’m just envious, sometimes.
Did you have any experience working in the industry outside of photo work before you got the pit reporter spot? What field do you ultimately want to work in? And what bands on the tour are your fav?
I had some experience… my concert photography eventually led me to intern with Outerloop Management— where I eventually was hired as part of the digital marketing team for their sister company, Traxion Control.
After about a year, I decided it was time to leave and find my own way. I took the summer off to re-think my life plan. When the fall came, I applied for the Pit Reporter gig. At the same time, I was also applying for a job with Fueled By Ramen. By some guardian angel (I’d like to think my mom), I ended up with both jobs.
So I’m excited to get out on tour, and then come back to NYC to keep working with FBR, the place I’ve always wanted to be since I first started loving music.
I know a lot of people think my “connections” had something to do with getting the gig— and yes, references are always helpful when applying to any job. But I’ve worked very hard for the last 3 years to get where I am today.
In 2010, I lost all will do to pursue my dreams— ask anyone who knew me then. In 2011, I was determined to get back on track and make something of myself. I changed my attitude, set out to reach new goals, and by some miracle I made it— and I couldn’t be more excited and thankful for all that’s happened in the last 6 months.
My fav bands on Warped this year: Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, Lostrpophets, Tonight Alive, Four Year Strong, Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Matt Toka… those are just to name a few. I am a huge fan of this year’s lineup… lotta pop/power punk returning— which is the Warped I never got to experience as a teenager!
